HydraFacial Saddleworth

HydraFacial at Medipro Clinics, Saddleworth

HydraFacial is a non-invasive facial that uses a dedicated device, rather than hands alone, to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate the skin in one appointment. It is gentle enough that most people go straight back to their day afterwards, and it is one of the most popular treatments we offer at our clinic on Mossley Road in Grasscroft, on the edge of Oldham.

Whether you want a quick refresh, a deeper treatment for congested skin or a year-round plan, there is a HydraFacial option to suit. Consultations and skin tests are free, with no obligation to book.

We also stock SkinCeuticals skincare, so you can continue your routine at home.

How It Works

What Happens During a HydraFacial?

Every HydraFacial is built on the same three stages, all delivered through one handpiece. The Express Signature treatment itself takes under 30 minutes, and there is no need to go home and rest afterwards.

1

Cleanse + Peel

The skin is cleansed and gently exfoliated to lift away dead skin cells and surface build-up. A mild peeling solution then helps loosen the debris sitting in the pores, ready for extraction.

2

Extract + Hydrate

Painless vortex suction draws out dirt, oil and blackheads from the pores while hydrating serums are delivered to the skin at the same time.

3

Fuse + Protect

Antioxidant and hyaluronic acid serums are infused into the freshly cleansed skin to help it look plump, smooth and radiant. The treatment finishes with protection so your skin is ready to face the day.

Tailor Your Treatment

HydraFacial Boosters Explained

Boosters are concentrated serums added to a HydraFacial to focus on a particular skin concern.

Platinum: one targeted booster

With a Platinum HydraFacial, your therapist chooses a booster to suit what your skin needs most, for example hydration, radiance or the look of fine lines. This is combined with LED light therapy and lymphatic drainage, a gentle technique that can help the face look less puffy and more contoured.

Premium Platinum: Hydraphilic, Regen GF+ and JLo

The Premium Platinum treatment includes three specialist boosters in one appointment. The Hydraphilic, Regen GF+ and JLo boosters each have a different focus, from deep hydration to supporting a smoother, more radiant look. Your therapist will talk you through what each one does and how it is applied.

LED light therapy

LED light therapy is included in the Platinum and Premium Platinum treatments. It is a relaxing, non-invasive step that uses specific wavelengths of light and is often used to support calmer, clearer-looking skin.

Skin Concerns

What Can HydraFacial Help With?

HydraFacial can be adjusted for many skin types. These are the concerns we are asked about most often in clinic.

HydraFacial for Blackheads & Congested Skin

The extraction step is designed to clear out the oil and debris that sit in the pores, so HydraFacial is a popular choice for blackheads and congestion around the nose, chin and forehead.

HydraFacial for Acne-Prone Skin

Regular HydraFacials can help keep oily, breakout-prone skin clear. Very active or inflamed acne may need a different approach first, which we assess at consultation.

HydraFacial for Dry & Dehydrated Skin

Hydrating serums are delivered throughout the treatment, which is why many people notice their skin feels softer and looks more plump straight away.

HydraFacial for Dull, Tired-Looking Skin

By removing dead skin cells and rehydrating, HydraFacial can help bring back a fresh, healthy-looking glow.

HydraFacial for Sensitive Skin & Rosacea

HydraFacial may suit some sensitive skin, and the treatment can be adjusted to be gentler. Rosacea and reactive skin vary a great deal from person to person, so suitability is always assessed at consultation, and a skin test may be recommended first.

Fine Lines & Uneven Texture

Hydration can soften the appearance of fine lines, and regular exfoliation can help skin look smoother. For deeper texture concerns, we may suggest combining HydraFacial with laser or microneedling as part of a plan.

Beyond the Face

HydraFacial for Back, Neck, Lips, Eyes and Scalp

The same cleanse, extract and hydrate approach can be used on other areas of the body and even the scalp.

HydraFacial Back Facial (£190)

The back is hard to reach and easy to neglect, and it is a common place for congestion and breakouts. A HydraFacial back treatment cleanses, extracts and hydrates the whole area. If you have been searching for a “Hydrabody” or body facial, this is the treatment to ask about.

HydraFacial Neck & Décolletage (£125)

The neck and chest see plenty of sun but rarely get the same attention as the face. This stand-alone treatment hydrates and refreshes the area.

HydraFacial Perk Lip & Eye (£45 each)

Perk is a short, targeted treatment for the lips or the eye area. Perk Lip gently exfoliates and hydrates for softer, smoother-looking lips, while Perk Eye focuses on the delicate skin around the eyes for a brighter, less tired look.

HydraScalp & Keravive

A healthy scalp is the starting point for healthy-looking hair. The HydraScalp Cleanse (£85) exfoliates and hydrates the scalp. For a longer plan, choose HydraScalp with booster and a take-home spray, as a course of three (£585), or the HydraScalp Keravive three-month plan for a partial head (£660).

Compare Treatments

HydraFacial vs Other Treatments

HydraFacial is one of several skin treatments we offer. Each works differently, and the right choice depends on your skin and what you want to achieve.

HydraFacial vs a Regular Facial

A traditional facial relies mainly on hands, steam and manual extraction. HydraFacial uses a dedicated device to cleanse, extract and deliver serums in a consistent, repeatable way. Many people find the suction extraction more comfortable than manual squeezing.

HydraFacial vs Chemical Peel

A HydraFacial includes a gentle peel step, but it is designed for a fresh result with little to no downtime. A chemical peel works more deeply on the skin’s surface and may be a better fit for concerns such as pigmentation or more noticeable texture, although some peels can cause flaking for a few days.

HydraFacial vs Microneedling

Microneedling creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin to encourage its natural repair process, and is often chosen for the appearance of scarring, fine lines and texture. It usually involves a few days of redness. HydraFacial works on the surface and in the pores, focusing on cleansing and hydration.

HydraFacial with Laser: Hydra-Genesis

Our Hydra-Genesis treatment combines a HydraFacial with laser skin rejuvenation, which may help with redness, uneven texture and the look of enlarged pores. You can read more about the laser element on our Laser Genesis page, and about our wider laser services on the Clarity II laser page.

Planning Your Treatments

How Often Should You Get a HydraFacial?

Skin renews itself over a number of weeks, so many people choose a HydraFacial every four weeks to keep pores clear and skin hydrated. For congested or acne-prone skin, we may suggest a shorter course of treatments closer together to begin with, then moving to monthly maintenance.

If you know you would like regular treatments, our 6 and 12 month bootcamps are a simple way to plan ahead and include skincare to use at home.

HydraFacial Before an Event

HydraFacial is a popular choice before weddings, holidays, parties and photos, because there is usually little to no downtime. We suggest booking your treatment around three to five days before the event.

Is HydraFacial Worth It?

That depends on what you are hoping for. HydraFacial is a good fit if you want clearer pores, better hydration and a fresh glow with no real downtime. For deeper lines, scarring or significant pigmentation, another treatment or a combination may suit you better. We will be honest with you at consultation.

After Your Treatment

HydraFacial Aftercare and Downtime

Most people can go straight back to work or their day after a HydraFacial. Some notice mild redness for a few hours, which usually settles quickly. A few simple steps help you get the most from your treatment.

  • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day, and especially in the days after treatment.
  • Avoid make-up for the rest of the day if you can, to let your skin breathe.
  • Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga and intense exercise for 24 hours.
  • Hold off on retinol, exfoliating acids and scrubs for 48 hours.
  • Avoid sunbeds and prolonged sun exposure for at least a few days.
  • Ask us if you would like a simple SkinCeuticals routine to continue your skincare at home.

You will be given written aftercare advice in clinic. Hydra-Genesis aftercare differs slightly because it includes laser.

Common Questions

HydraFacial FAQs

HydraFacial is a non-invasive facial treatment that uses a dedicated device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate the skin in one session. It can be tailored to different skin types and concerns.

Our HydraFacial Express Signature is £99, HydraFacial Platinum is £160 and HydraFacial Premium Platinum is £170. The back treatment is £190, neck and décolletage is £125, and Perk Lip or Perk Eye is £45 each. Hydra-Genesis, which adds laser skin rejuvenation, is £340. Consultations and skin tests are free.

The Express Signature covers the three core steps: cleanse and peel, extract and hydrate, fuse and protect. Platinum adds a targeted booster serum, LED light therapy and lymphatic drainage. Premium Platinum builds on this with three specialist boosters: Hydraphilic, Regen GF+ and JLo.

Most people find HydraFacial comfortable and relaxing. The suction feels like a cool, gentle pull on the skin, and the peel step may cause a light tingle. There are no needles involved.

There is usually little to no downtime. Some people have mild redness for a few hours afterwards. Most clients go straight back to work or their day, though we suggest avoiding make-up, heavy exercise and saunas for the rest of the day.

Many people notice their skin looks fresher and feels more hydrated straight after treatment. How long this lasts varies from person to person. Regular treatments and good daily skincare, including SPF, help maintain the results.

Many people choose a HydraFacial about once a month, to keep pores clear and skin hydrated. We may suggest treatments closer together at first for congested skin. Our 6 and 12 month bootcamps make regular treatments easier to plan.

We suggest booking around three to five days before a wedding, holiday or special occasion. This gives any slight redness time to settle. If you have not had a HydraFacial before, try one a few weeks earlier so you know how your skin responds.

HydraFacial can help keep oily and congested skin clear, and it may suit some sensitive skin. Very active acne, rosacea and reactive skin need a closer look, so suitability is assessed at your free consultation and a skin test may be recommended.

HydraScalp uses HydraFacial technology to cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate the scalp, which is the foundation for healthy-looking hair. We offer a single HydraScalp Cleanse, a course of three with booster and take-home spray, and a HydraScalp Keravive three-month plan.

HydraFacial may not be suitable if you have an active skin infection, open wounds, sunburn or certain skin conditions in the treatment area, or if you have recently used some prescription skin medications. Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as some serums and steps may need to be adjusted. We check all of this at consultation.
