MICRONEEDLING
The skin treatment of choice for a brighter, smoother, youthful complexion.
Microneedling is safe, effective and suitable for all skin types.
It can be used all over the face and body to stimulate the natural production of new collagen and elastin, thereby smoothing wrinkles and scars in just a few short treatments.
Emmalee uses the The Raffine automatic microneedling device and is far more advanced than MTS (Dermaroller Type needling).
Clinical studies have shown Automatic Micro-Needle Therapy Systems like the Raffine to be more effective than ablative treatments like laser resurfacing, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels.
Raffine is also just as effective stimulating collagen and elastin production.
Treatable conditions with skin needling include:
- Acne scars
- Wrinkles
- Skin scars
- Alopecia
- Skin tone and enlarged pores
- Hyperpigmentation
- Collagen induction
- Skin rejuvenation
- Face lifting
- Cellulite and stretch marks
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Medical microneedling, or collagen induction therapy (CIT), uses an electronic device to create tiny punctures in the skin. The concept is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself when it encounters physical injury. It stimulates new collagin and elastin, similar to how the body creates new skin to heal an open wound. Note that there are two types of microneedling: cosmetic and medical. Medical microneedling goes deeper than cosmetic needling because it uses a medical-grade device similar to the RAFFINE
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING USEFUL FOR?
It’s useful for skin scarring issues from injuries or acne, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. It also helps shrink pores and tightens the skin. It’s practically like reverse aging. Everything simply looks smoother, firmer and younger afterwards.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR ONE SESSION?
From £100 per session and package discounts (ie. £100 for one treatment or £240 for three treatments).
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
After your consultation a numbing cream is applied. We let that sit for about 20 minutes.
Once numb, we begin needling, then apply post procedure healing creams and SPF50
The entire treatment takes 20-30 minutes.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU’RE DONE?
Your face will be slightly red with some pin point bleeding. Post procedure creams help settle the skin.
HOW LONG ARE YOU RED AFTER A TREATMENT?
This varies for everyone no longer then 24 hours by day 3 skin has recovered. Occasionally slight bruising underneath eyes, but nothing that can’t be covered with concealer.
